“I was very disappointed with this room. It looked nothing like the photos or what was advertised. The room was outdated, had a terrible odor as soon as we walked in, and the beds did not appear to be clean. Overall, it felt poorly maintained and was not the quality we expected. Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing, and I would not recommend this property based on our experience”

“Beautiful hotel . Clean and cozy. Rooms have big window withnlots of light. I wanted a getaway for a couple days with my partner and his was exactly what I wanted . Beds were so soft and cozy and welcoming charm was perfect. I will come back again soon and recommend to anyone .”

“Noisy next to freeway”

“Stayed at the Astro for one day. The room was perfect- spacious, and all the amenities were exactly as advertised on the website and on Expedia. Our room was situated adjacent to the main street, and there were some street noise, but that was not an issue. The staff was welcoming and very efficient. We would definitely stay there again.”

“Everything was EXTREMELY satisfying, the pool was REFRESHING except for the leaves in it minor detail. By far one of the BETTER stays in Santa Rosa. Lots of places to eat but the Cafe there is FANTASTIC except they close early. In my opinion 2 thumbs up 👍👍!!”

“Our room did not have a working heater (it was summer but chilly), so the manager kindly upgraded us to a suite. I'd recently had the bad news that my cancer had relapsed, and his kindness, and the beautiful suite, really helped my mood. The atmosphere was welcoming and the employees outstanding. We ate several times at the attached restaurant/deli, Grossman's, and loved the food and the staff there.”

“This is a charming old-world experience in a well-maintained hotel set in the redwoods beside the Russian River. Rooms are smalll, but clean and comfortable. We had a balcony overlooking the river, which we enjoyed. The staff was helpful and friendly. The owner is obviously very proud of his establishment and dedicated to making it a good experience for his patrons. The breakfast is ample. The attached restaurant provides a German cuisine.”
